Nous démarrons  à l'avant et nous avons ici une rare vue de l'envers du fronteau de coltis et de la partie avant de la muraille tribord.
Les montants du fronteau sont appuyés en partie basse sur le bau de coltis et en partie haute contre le premier barrot du gaillard d'avant.
L'ouverture correspond à la porte tribord  et on remarquera que le premier montant du fronteau est coupé en sifflet et cloué sur le revers de la muraille.
On voit très bien ici la courbe horizontale du bau de coltis et, complètement à gauche une portion du mât de beaupré.
We start at the bow and we have here a rare view of the other side of the beak head bulkhead and the part in front of the starboard hull wall.  The bottom of the pinrail stanchions are attached to the beak head beam and thetop is fixed to the first forecastle beam.  The opening you can see is the starboard access door and you will notice that the first of the stanchions is cut "en sifflet", (oblique, tapering down to a point) and it is nailed to the back of the hull wall.  One can clearly see the horizontal knee support on the beak head beam and, far left, a bit of the bowsprit.

 
En avançant un peu dans la deuxième batterie, cette vue montre l'implantation des barrots du gaillard d'avant avec, à cet endroit précis un
courbaton de gaillard légèrement dévoyé pour dégager l'accès  aux crocs et aux boucles d'artillerie.
Advancing a little through the second battery, this view shows the fitting of the forecastle beams with, in this particular spot, a short forecastle knee slightly offset
 to clear access to the hooks and rings for the artilliary.
 

En longeant la muraille, autres exemples de courbes dévoyées à la deuxième batterie.
Notez également un dalot rectangulaire de pompe à gauche ainsi qu'un dalot courant qui est rond.

Vue perspective du dessous du gaillard d'arrière coté tribord montrant l'alignement des courbatons et des barrots.
Le milieu du bâtiments est garni de ses équipements placés en enfilade.
Si l'on détaille, on trouve au premier plan, le bitton de grand hunier, le grand mât entouré des têtes des pompes, on devine également le grand sep de drisse.
Plus en arrière, la cloche supérieure du grand cabestan et ses épontilles à charnière suivi de la volée de la grande échelle et du mât d'artimon.
Encore plus en arrière, on devine la manuelle inclinée sur tribord, elle est placée juste en avant des montants de la cloison de la grande chambre.
Enfin tout au fond, la grande chambre et ses fenêtres. Nous détaillerons tout ceci plus loin.
A perspective view from below the starboard side of the quarterdeck, showing the alignment of the short knees and the beams. The middle of the vessel is furnished with equipment arranged in a row.  If one looks carefully, you can see in the foreground, the main top sail bitt, the main mast surrounded by the pump heads.  Equally, one can make out the knights head block.  Further aft, the upper barrel of the great capstan and its hinged stanchions, then the main ladder and the mizzen mast.  Even further aft, you can see the tiller pitched over to starboard.  The tiller is positioned just in front of the wall of the great cabin.  Finally, right at the back, the great cabin and its windows.  We will have a more detailed look at all that later.

The same deck, viewed from the port side, we can see all the elements already mentioned. Note the notches for the beams in the waterway.  Right at the back, one can see the knee that links the stem timbers with the hull wall and the round gun port cut in the stern at the level of the second battery.
