La pièce métallique fixée à l'extrémité du timon, elle recevra la cheville à oeil placée au bout de
la manuelle. Une pomme visée sur l'extrémité de la pièce retiendra l'œil de la manuelle.
The metal fitting fixed to the end of the tiller.  There will be an eye-bolt placed at the end of the whip staff,
and a button screwed into the end of the piece will hold the eye of the whip staff.

Le timon (la barre) est appuyée sur la tamisaille (courbe) par l'intermédiaire d'une pièce appelée crapaud
que l'on voit ici chevillée sur le dessus du timon. Comme pour la pièce de la vue précédente, 
la liaison est renforcée par des cerclages en fer.
The tiller (the bar) is attached to the tiller sweep (curve) by way of a piece called a goose neck that one can see here bolted to the top of the tiller. 
As for the piece in the last view, the bond is reinforced with iron hoops.

The bond with the counter timbers is reinforced with the triangular chocks that one can see here.

The end of the upper deck strakes is attached at the back onto this half rail which is bolted onto the counter timbers.
