Une vue plus rapprochée où l'on voit les linguets et leur taquet ainsi que  les crochets servants
à maintenir les épontilles relevées. Dans l'alignement entre le crochet et la boucle du pont,
et en cherchant bien, on notera la "glissière" dans laquelle vient se loger le pied des épontilles.
A closer view, where one can see the capstan pawls and their block, also the hooks holding the hinged stanchions up. 
Aligned between the hook and the deck ring, if you look hard, you can see an indentation in which the foot of the stanchion would be seated.

La forme contournée est typique du 17eme siècle et du début du 18eme.

The aft ladder linking the gun deck with the second.  The curved shape is typical from the 17^th Century to the beginning of the 18^th.  An attractive piece.

Au premier plan les échelles du grand mât suivies du pied du bitton d'écoute du grand hunier puis les quatre pompes,
le cabestan, l'échelle de l'arrière et enfin les pompes d'artimon.
We are near to the main hatch and looking aft. 
In the foreground, the main mast ladder, followed by the foot of the sheet bitts of the main topsail, then the four pumps,
the capstan, the aft ladder and, finally, the mizzen pumps.
