Préceintes et bordage de la première batterie.
On devine les écarts à crocs des préceintes. Entre les préceintes hautes, le remplissage pour les cadènes des haubans.
L'épaisseur du bordage diminue de bas en haut, on peut remarquer cette diminution  sur le coté des sabords qui restent à finir.
First battery wales and planking.  One can make out the hook and butt assembly of the wales. 
Between the upper wales, you see an indent for the lower-rigging chain plates.
The thickness of the planking reduces from the bottom to the top, one notices this particularly through the walls of the unfinished gun ports.

Entre l'étrave et l'arrière du  premier sabord, le bordage conserve la même épaisseur que les  préceintes 
pour éviter que les pattes des ancres ne s'accrochent sur un éventuel rebord.
La diminution se fait en arrière du sabord par motif décoratif.
Between the stem and the back of the first gun port, the planking is brought out to
the same thickness as the wale in order to avoid the anchor catching as it is brought back on board. 
You will notice that the reduction in thickness at the back of the gun port is effected by a decorative carving.
